-2 weeks in September led to this pile of hand spun yarn:

~47 ounces worth of fiber; 1660 yards in various weights.

-over 30lbs of Merino/Romney fleece landed on my porch:
27lb bag o fleece

sorting through it all:
merino romney locks

Working up sample sizes of various prep methods and spinning techniques before deciding which mill to send it off to.

-Trying to find the right logo and site designers; I’ve looked at so many but still have yet to really find ones that click for me.

-Getting all of my thoughts into words and bringing the concept into a full on plan.

-Coming up with the right name for the company, after many rough drafts; it’s not easy.

-Thinking that I really need some new sweaters after shrinking two this past spring; would be easier if I had some knitting mojo, but I don’t. It’s been cold lately; when did this happen?

-Dealing with a gimped computer that burned out a gig of RAM for a week until the replacement arrived.

-Being scared shitless first thing in the morning while listening to a voice mail left by the hubby stating that he had been in a car accident and waiting until the end of it to tell me that he was fine. Meanwhile my brain was frantically trying to figure out which hospital he would have been taken to. We’ve learned some lessons from this. Like stating your current physical position right off. And taking a different highway when the weather is inclement. That was this past Thursday. Emotionally stressful.

It’s been like that for the past several weeks. Sort of all over the place. Disjointed. Interesting. Some things that I never want to experience again, others that have been utterly fantastic. Spending time with family, indulging in flavors and sensations that make me so happy to have taste buds. I crave the times filled with laughter and conversation as delicious scents waft through the air, a split of wine breathing in a lovely glass vessel. For me that’s it.

For right now at least.

cheers!

Busy bee!! 30# is a lot, but the bag looks so small! Fleece sellers never cease to amaze with their air-sucking-out skills :)
