The sewing machine died tonight when I was *this* close to being done with the stocking:
That stocking is meant to replace the other stocking I made, which seems to long and narrow. There was then to be a stocking made in the reverse of these fabrics (solid red bottom, swirly pool blue pattern on top) for the hubby, and a smaller one with a white base for the kittens. But my sewing machine is dead. All I had left to do was sew the sides together with the loop to hang it, and baste the top. That’s it, after all of that piecing, and quilting, that’s all I had left. 10 minutes tops. And it died. I tried everything I could think of to bring it back to life, but nothings worked. So now I’m in the market for a new sewing machine. Got suggestions? I’m looking for a machine that can handle quilting, and still do clothing sewing. Since I’m fairly new to this market, I’ve no real idea what to buy. Thank you for any help you can give.

p.s. sorry about the horrible color representation, but it’s dark out.

Oh no! That is a bummer. I have a Viking Husqvarna and I love it. Good luck in your sewing machine search.
What? The motor broke? Does Alice Springs have a fixer?
